I just wanted to update you on this fund raising event and my e-Book giveaway – just take a moment and read this please…
Response to my request for donations for the fight against breast cancer has been great – thank you to all who have donated! I want to remind you to forward your receipt to me and I will send you your book as promised. Please – even though you have donated out of the kindness of your heart, let me give to you out of the kindness of my heart!!
Tina finished the event logging more than the advertised 60 miles on her pedometer – great job Tina!
But it wasn’t without incident… early into the walk, on the first day, Tina twisted her ankle while walking a gravel path. She was taken to first aid and they examined it and suggested that she drop out and seek medical attention. Tina is stubborn (like her dad) and decided to continue. They wrapped her ankle and she limped off…
Early Saturday morning we had a bad storm blow through the midwest and everyone participating in this event was camping out – sleeping in tents. About 2:30am they sounded the alarm and got everyone indoors. Needless to say their sleep was interrupted and really cut short. Not what the participants needed when they really needed to recharge.
Sunday night I got a phone call from Tina at about 7pm. She asked me to thank everyone for their donations and proceeded to tell me about her adventure… I later got a txt msg on my phone from Tina who was now in urgent-care… it turns out she sprained both ankles and did additional damage continuing in the event.
Sigh – she is a strong girl and I totally understand her focus and commitment to completing this event. I am very proud of her for being who she is and committing to a cause!
So now, I’m going to ask you again to commit to this cause and I will reward you for your commitment. I have decided to extend my offer so that we can exceed the modest goal that Tina set for this event. You see, what ever balance is left on her goal, she will have to pay out of pocket!
Now I have donated several hundred to this event alone, I think that it’s not asking too much for you to donate at least $4.00. In return I will send you a copy of my new book and the additional books once they are completed. The book you will be receiving is 200 pages of hard-core information – not some light report…
