It’s been one !@#$ of a year!

By mhobach | March 28, 2007

So here it is… the end of March 2007… another year has gone by and what do I have to show for it?

Life is a journey and sometimes that journey takes us to a place where moving forward is totally exhausting. You’ve seen the pictures and the videos – rocks, sink holes, rivers, trees, you name it – it’s all there. You kick it into four-wheel drive and you still get stuck!

That’s been my life for the last year…

Now I want to announce that I have finally made it to the highway and have taken it out of four-wheel drive, and have engaged the overdrive again. You see I am now putting the peddle to the metal, and it is all open road ahead.

Here it is…

I have been married for more than 14 years in this last marriage (13 yrs in the first marriage). Things have never really been great – but I am an Aries and the first born male child so I am the eternal optimist and always trying to make things work…

Last year I finally decided to move on and put into motion something that I should have done a long time ago – not to air dirty laundry, but I filed for divorce. All of my business ventures were put pretty much on autopilot.  Everything was safe and I knew that going into this.

In March 2006 I started to wind down the production of our video newsletters (remember those?) and the May 5th 2006 edition was the last issue we we published.

Over the last year I worked on several new books, but just couldn’t stay focused. I have so many ’started’ projects that I can’t even think about starting something new until I get these things done.

I lost touch with several friends and business contacts. Not necessarily because I didn’t want to be in touch with them, but my children came first and then I needed to take care of myself.

I helped all of my loyal customers as best I could under the circumstances. I enlisted the help of a couple of people to help fill in where I just couldn’t. I hope that I haven’t let anyone down.

So now it may sound like I just announced the the biggest “pity party” ever, but I am just sharing. I envy those who can go through this kind of thing and still provide for their family by going to a JOB! You see, my income is totally dependant on what I do – I can’t just show up every day and collect a paycheck. If only it were that easy.  I actually have to think and do things that make money.

So where am I now?

The divorce was final earlier this month (March 2007). The house is being refinanced and I still need to settle all accounts (my ex wife). For the most part everything is under control and I am returning to work full time and then some! My businesses are intact and going strong. I am working on my started projects and as I complete the books they will be introduced to those on my lists. I have continued to answer questions through out, but now I can put a bit more energy into this and be more timely with my responses.

The biggest changes that you will start to see are these…

Video production

My living room is now sans furniture and I have turned it into a video studio. I have a 12″ wide green screen, all of the lights, and A/V gear to start producing the newsletters again – this time they will be much higher quality and it will take much less time to produce and publish.

Web Sites

We will be turning up some very interesting web sites shortly. I have been involved in the Internet since before Al Gore invented it! In fact google “Michael Hobach” once and you will see a lot of the things going all the way back to 1994. Yes I have been a geek for all these years and more.

Many of the new sites will be free and open to the public, but we also have our pay sites too. This includes http://REIproMentor.com and http://REIproTraining.com and of course if you are interested in setting up your own Blog like this or your own site for your REI business, visit http://REIproSites.com . Remember that our forums are always free and there is a lot of good information posted by all that visit. Take a look for yourself… http://REIproForums.com .Looking for help!

I am currently for people involved in the Real Estate industry to become trainers and teachers. If you have a strong background in any aspect of Real Estate Investing and would like to setup some training, please contact me via Email. There is a good income potential here for those that can put together the needed training material for us to present on-line.

Stay tuned and I will certainly keep you updated.

I have to say, I came upon the possibility of opportunity-investment just today (through you, basically).
I read one sentence about getting excited about percentage rather than dollar amount, and I feel very enlightened by that.
I want to thank you for all the energy you have put into your research and investements.

My dream is to help the world in the most magical, beautiful, playfullest way possible for me.
That dream changes every day, but I know
that this idea of opportunity-investment will help me to transcend any financial barrier that might keep me from fulfilling
my highest potential in life. I do not know yet what I will invest in, but I am beginning to get a feel.

Thank you Michael for gifting the world with your energy!! I am grateful.

    Love Erica
